This type of rental is very common in my country because people are very poor and few people have the opportunity to rent an entire apartment, and the owners understand this, so they immediately divide the apartment into two parts and rent it out to several people. We took each of the rooms as our living rooms and shared the toilet/ bathroom and kitchen. It really helped us find our feet in life.
