Traditionally, men have been the hunters/gatherers/providers while women have been the nurturers (tending to home and children). So it is the ideal thing for men to do. They need to provide financially for the family while the women also assist both financially and otherwise as they can.
As mentioned earlier, men were considered responsible for taking care of the family financially. They took their jobs as sole providers very seriously.

The man is to play his role and the woman is to support. Both partners are ment to support one another, that’s what makes a good family.

See lessHowever we are in the 21st century and I feel that women should also try to assist their husbands because things are not favourable these days due to the economic hardship. Therefore supporting him as a wife will help bring relief to the family
