However we are in the 21st century and I feel that women should also try to assist their husbands because things are not favourable these days due to the economic hardship. Therefore supporting him as a wife will help bring relief to the family

While the man still remains the head of the home, and part of his duty is to protect and provide, there is notting wrong with the woman supporting once in awhile, especially in situations where the man might be experiencing certain difficulties. The man is to play his role and the woman is to support. Both partners are ment to support one another, that’s what makes a good family.

It is my family and we are a team. I would help my man provide. I would step in for him when he doesn’t have. We are a team for a reason like that. I won’t kill my husband with the burden of providing for the family alone.

This should not even be a debate because generally a man should ptovide. In almost all cultures fathers have primary roles of  protecting, the providing and being a disciplinarian.

Traditionally, men have been the hunters/gatherers/providers while women have been the nurturers (tending to home and children). So it is the ideal thing for men to do. They need to provide financially for the family while the women also assist both financially and otherwise as they can.

As mentioned earlier, men were considered responsible for taking care of the family financially. They took their jobs as sole providers very seriously.
