People often believe being strict would make the children be in line but in most cases, this usually have the wrong effect. Children under strict parents often want to try everything and anything once given a little opportunity, i think a better approach would be to be their friends when the situation calls for it, this way they can open up to you about certain things they are worried about, discipline them when the situation also calls for it. It can bring anxiety, lower self-esteem, and aggression,to a child despite potentially fostering short-term obedience. All the same strict parenting can provide structure and teach responsibility, but I think it’s more effective to use positive and consistent discipline with clear expectations to promote a child’s healthy development and well-being.
But then, strict parents often instill a sense of accountability, teaching children to manage their time, stay organized, and take responsibility for their actions.
