Some people believe that being strict with their kids make them grow to responsible adults. Is that always the case?

People often believe being strict would make the children be in line but in most cases, this usually have the wrong effect. Children under strict parents often want to try everything and anything once given a little opportunity, i think a better approach would be to be their friends when the situation calls for it, this way they can open up to you about certain things they are worried about, discipline them when the situation also calls for it. This way you are bringing them up in the way they should grow.

Being strict with kids can help teach them responsibility and good habits, but if you’re too strict, it might make them feel unhappy, stressed, or even want to rebel against the rules. Kids don’t just need rules they also need love, understanding, and support to feel safe and confident. It’s important to find a balance set clear boundaries and expectations, but also listen to their feelings and give them room to make mistakes and learn. When parents are firm but caring, kids are more likely to grow up responsible, happy, and trusting.

It can bring anxiety, lower self-esteem, and aggression,to a child despite potentially fostering short-term obedience. All the same  strict parenting can provide structure and teach responsibility, but I think it’s more effective to use positive and consistent discipline with clear expectations to promote a child’s healthy development and well-being.

But then, strict parents often instill a sense of accountability, teaching children to manage their time, stay organized, and take responsibility for their actions.
