There are two categories of people that actually spend more than their income. The first ones are people that have genuine life challenges that are more than their income. Those ones have no choice.
The second set of people that spend more than their income are those people that want to impress people. They want to show that they have arrived when they actually have not. They would want to borrow to prove that point. And they end up spending more than they earn.
