Some people prefer quantity over quality because they believe that having a larger quantity of something gives them a sense of abundance and fulfillment. They might assume that getting more of a product or experience will outweigh any potential flaws or lack of excellence. Additionally, certain individuals might prioritize quantity in order to save time or money, as obtaining a large quantity at a lower cost can be more convenient than seeking out a smaller quantity of higher quality. Lastly, cultural or societal norms may also play a role, as there might be a societal emphasis on consuming more rather than focusing on the quality of what is being consumed.

I know a lot of people would want to always good for quantity of things than quality especially if they are a lot cheaper but with high quantity. This comes at the heels of people wanting more than just few things that might be of Standard quality. People’s preferences for quantity over quality or vice versa can vary based on individual goals, circumstances, and personality traits. Here are some reasons why some people may prefer quantity:Cost-Effective: In some situations, quantity may be more cost-effective. For example, when buying everyday items like basic clothing, toiletries, or office supplies, people may prioritize getting more for their money.Volume Discounts: Many businesses offer discounts for buying in bulk or larger quantities. This can incentivize people to opt for quantity, especially when they know they’ll use or consume the items in the future.Practicality: When it comes to certain tasks or situations, having more of something can be practical. For instance, if you frequently entertain guests, having a large quantity of disposable plates and utensils may be more convenient than using high-quality, reusable ones.Variety: Some individuals value variety and enjoy having a wide range of options, even if those options aren’t of the highest quality. This preference is common in areas like fashion, where people may prefer a variety of clothing styles over a few high-end pieces.Quick Solutions: Quantity can provide quick solutions to immediate needs. For example, if you need to print a large number of documents in a short amount of time, a lower-quality but faster printer may be more suitable than a high-quality, slower one.Personal Goals: Depending on personal goals and priorities, people may opt for quantity to achieve a specific outcome. For instance, a writer might aim to produce a high quantity of content to increase their online presence, even if each piece is not of the highest quality.Cultural or Societal Factors: Cultural norms and societal values can influence whether quantity or quality is more highly regarded. In some cultures, accumulating wealth or possessions in large quantities may be seen as a sign of success. It’s important to note that the preference for quantity over quality or vice versa is not inherently good or bad; it depends on the context and individual priorities. In many cases, people strike a balance between the two, recognizing that there are situations where quality matters more and others where quantity is sufficient to meet their needs or objectives.
