Generally, UNILAG fees for freshers usually fall within the range of about 60,000 to 120,000 naira for most courses, but professional courses and some departments may pay higher due to lab and departmental charges.

Freshers also pay extra charges like:

    • acceptance fee
    • medical fee
    • faculty and departmental dues
    • ICT and library charges

Some students end up paying around 150k total when everything is combined, especially in the first year.

The best way to confirm is to log into the UNILAG student portal or check the school’s official update for the current academic session.

UNILAG school fees for freshers depends on the faculty and department, and the amount can change each academic session. That’s why it’s important to confirm from the official UNILAG portal or the school’s latest announcement.

From what students commonly pay, UNILAG freshers usually spend between 60,000 and 120,000 naira for basic fees, but the total can rise depending on your department.

Freshers also pay extra charges such as:

    • acceptance fee
    • medical screening fee
    • faculty charges
    • departmental dues
    • ICT and library fees
    • hostel fees (if you get accommodation)

Many freshers end up paying between 120,000 and 180,000 naira in total once everything is added, especially in courses that require labs or additional departmental charges.

The best way to confirm your exact amount is to log into the UNILAG student portal and check your payment breakdown because the portal shows the official figures for your department.

Also, be careful of unofficial WhatsApp groups posting fake fee lists. UNILAG fees are best confirmed only through the school’s official sources.

Yes, a car rental business can be profitable in Nigeria, but only if you manage it properly. It’s not a business where you just buy a car and start earning without stress.

Car rental is profitable because people always need vehicles for weddings, airport pickups, short travel, business trips, and weekend outings. In places like Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and even tourist areas, rentals are in constant demand.

A simple example is a Toyota Corolla rented for 25,000 to 40,000 naira per day depending on the city. If you rent it out just 10 days in a month, that’s 250,000 to 400,000 naira revenue. But your profit depends on how much you spend on fuel (if you provide), servicing, repairs, insurance, and driver payments.

The biggest issue in Nigeria is damage and misuse. Many car rental owners lose money because customers drive recklessly, damage the suspension, or even use the car for things they didn’t mention.

That’s why many serious rental businesses rent out cars with a driver. It reduces abuse and protects your vehicle. Some also install tracking devices so they can monitor the car.

Another risk is police issues and fake customers. Some people rent cars and disappear. So documentation is very important. Always collect a valid ID, take clear pictures, and use an agreement form.

If you’re starting, it’s safer to begin with reliable cars like Corolla, Camry, or Highlander. Luxury cars give bigger profit but repairs can destroy your earnings.

So yes, car rental is profitable, but the business rewards people who run it professionally and protect their assets.
