Personally i do not think there should be a specific timeframe for courtship to lead to marriage, it mainly depends on each individual and several factors. I believe anyone going into any kind of romantic relationship should be because they want to get married. Which means if you are having a boyfriend or a girlfriend, your reason for starting that relationship should be because you have marriage in mind and notting else. In most cases, a year is more than enough to know everything you need to know about the person, for some six months is all they need.
