Timeframe for a startup to become profitable varies widely depending on factors like industry, market conditions, funding, and business model. Some startups can become profitable within a few months to a year if they have a clear value proposition and a solid execution plan. However, it’s also common for startups to take several years to reach profitability, especially if they’re in a competitive or rapidly evolving market. It’s essential to have realistic expectations and a sustainable strategy for growth.

The most realisitc timeframe for profiting in a startup depends solely on your type of business, if you start a buying and selling business, it’s pretty easy to get sales, but if you’re in the software world or the hardware world, it may take some time before you can start to make revenue, so it is important to always put that in place.

You should also take note of your capital, if it isn’t big enough you wouldn’t be able to make any substantial profit in the short term.

For me a startup should be given up to 4 weeks which is a month before we start talking about the profit. Let the business run for a while and put more attention first at growing it
