I want to know what happens when you file for bankruptcy. I’m the owner of a small business, and a loan I took out to buy a new piece of equipment has been giving me some problem. If I don’t declare bankruptcy, what will happen if I am unable to pay back the money I borrowed to purchase some expensive equipment?
Absolutely any assistance is much appreciated!
Thanks a lot!

You cannot declare yourself or your business bankrupt. A bankruptcy statement can only be issued by a court decision, after your financial statements have been audited. If you have been declared bankrupt by the court in your area, you will lose the rights to all your assets, all of your assets will be liquidated or sold by the court to pay off your debts.
If your assets are not sufficient to pay off the debt, you can repay the remaining debt or according to the agreement after bankruptcy.
However, the confiscation of assets by the court does not apply to household equipment such as beds, dining tables, livestock, side income such as freelancing, etc.

In your own aspect if you’re unable to repay the debts, assets may be sold to pay off your debts, and a repayment plan might be established. But you must remember that bankruptcy can have significant financial and credit consequences, impacting one’s ability to obtain loans or credit in the future. It’s important to consult a legal or financial professional for advice tailored to your specific situation.
So if you’re unable to pay off the debts, sell that machine that’s giving you issues to pay the debts off .
