Honestly it is very right for you to have trust issues when it comes to giving out your BVN to all this loan apps popping up everyday.
And the reason is that most of them are not regulated and accepted by the Central Bank of Nigeria which means that someone can just create an app to give out cheap loans to you like 2,000 Naira and will require you to input your bvn which can be used to scam a lot of money from you.
If you want to give out your bvn to any of these fintech out there then you have to make sure that they are registered to CBN
