Below are the list of blood groups of human beings AA,AS and SS

For someone having the blood group AA or as he or she doesn’t have any problem with sickle cell anemia but someone who is having SS has sickle cell anemia so the reason why people are giving birth with with her Armenia is because when the blood group as is mixed with as a possibility of giving birth to SS which means sickle cell amino so this is the way sickle cell anemia is form

Sickle cell anemia is caused by a genetic mutation in the gene that tells the body how to make hemoglobin (the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen).

    Here’s how it happens:

    The Science Behind It

Normal red blood cells have hemoglobin A, which makes them round and flexible.

In sickle cell anemia, the body makes an abnormal form called hemoglobin S.

When hemoglobin S releases oxygen, the red blood cells can change shape — from round to rigid, sticky, and crescent (sickle) shaped.

    Inheritance

A child gets sickle cell anemia only if they inherit two sickle cell genes (one from each parent).

If they inherit just one gene, they have sickle cell trait (they usually don’t have the disease, but they can pass the gene to their children).

Sickle cell anemia is caused by a genetic mutation in the HBB gene, which affects hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. This mutation, inherited from both parents (autosomal recessive), leads to the production of abnormal hemoglobin (HbS). HbS causes red blood cells to become rigid and sickle shaped, impairing their ability to flow through blood vessels.

The condition is more common in individuals with ancestry from Africa, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, or India due to the prevalence of the sickle cell trait in these regions. The trait can offer some protection against malaria, which explains its persistence in certain populations.

Sickle cell anemia is caused by a genetic mutation that affects the hemoglobin in red blood cells. Hemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen throughout the body. In people with sickle cell anemia, the hemoglobin is abnormal, which causes red blood cells to become stiff and shaped like a crescent or sickle instead of round. These misshapen cells can get stuck in blood vessels, leading to pain, infections, and organ damage. The condition is inherited, meaning a person must receive the defective gene from both parents to have the disease, while inheriting it from just one parent usually results in a carrier state, often called sickle cell trait, which is usually less severe. Understanding this can help in planning for treatment and family health decisions.
