For me, this means that when it goes through a halving it is like splitting a pizza, which makes it less available. And every four years, theincentives offered for mining Bitcoin are cut in half. That means tht proportionately fewer Bitcoins are issued into circulation, which means that it becomes more difficult to get your hands on some. And asyou are probably aware, when there is less of something, certain things have a tendency to happen. Prics could go up. But it is not always so  it can also make mining more difficult and influence the entire market for Bitcoins. As for the commercial, just bear in mind: less bitcoin, more demand!

The bitcoin halving is an event where the rate of new bitcoin creation is cut in half, which happens approximately every 4 years. Here are some of the potential impacts:

    • Reduced bitcoin supply – The halving cuts the supply of new bitcoins introduced into circulation by 50%. This reduced issuance rate can lead to an imbalance between demand and supply.
    • Increased scarcity – With fewer new bitcoins being minted after the halving, it makes the existing bitcoins more scarce. Scarcity can drive up the price if demand stays constant or increases.
    • Mining shakeout – As the bitcoin reward for mining a block is cut in half, less profitable miners may be forced to shut down unless the bitcoin price rises significantly. This can lead to a more consolidated, efficient mining industry.
    • Increased volatility – Around halving events, volatility often increases in bitcoin’s price as the market adjusts to the new supply rate. Large price swings become more likely.
    • Higher transaction fees – With fewer bitcoins as block rewards for miners, miners may increasingly rely on fees to remain profitable. This could make bitcoin transactions more expensive.
    • Renewed interest and speculation – The halving generates significant media coverage and hype, reigniting public interest and speculation in bitcoin as an asset. This can impact prices.
    • No immediate impact – Bitcoin’s complex ecosystem and investor expectations mean the halving’s effects may take time to play out. The previous halvings did not cause an immediate major bitcoin price increase.

Overall, the halving introduces new scarcity dynamics to bitcoin’s supply-demand economics. While the exact impact is unpredictable, it is a significant milestone that bitcoin investors closely monitor.
