Should You Take Risks Even After Failure?

These type of questions come up everyday. I will ask if you should accept failure because you failed once. Failing after taking a risk shouldn’t stop us infact it doesn’t mean we will fail next time so it’s good to always take calculated risks.

The question one should ask is can you handle taking another risk? In a situation where you no longer have the capacity mentally, physically or even financially to take or handle another risk, the best cause of action would be to pull back until you are fully ready. This does not make you look weak. It simply means you are strong enough to accept your weakness. On the other hand, in a situation where you can still take risk, because you failed the first time is not a guarantee that it would still lead to failure again. Take out time to study and understand why you failed the first time and improve on that.

Yes, that’s the only way to achieve quantifiable success, business owners are known to be daring and relentless till they reach their goals and often times you’ll read in the biography of successful business how hard working and relentless they were.

At least it’s one of the quality that you can’t take away from all of them, so it is safe to say if you only work as hard as you can you can get ahead.

The moment you stop taking risks in business, you diminish the chances of you growing in that business. That you failed is because some things were not done right. When you discover the anomaly and work on getting it right, the business failure would turn around to success. And you still have to take more risks. The caveat is that in business, you should take calculated risks, and that is still necessary, even after a failure.
