Forcing marriage could lead to unhappy relationships or limit individual freedom. What really matters is that people have the choice to build the kind of life that makes them truly content, whether that includes marriage or not.

At the end of the day, i think marriage is mainly by choice. There are people who might decide to marry, while there are those who might choose not to get married for various reasons best known to them. I feel marriage should not be made a must but should be left as it is right now. Only those who are ready and willing should get married. This way we can have people who are committed to keeping the marriage, and not forced.

No, marriage should not be made compulsory for everyone because it is a deeply personal choice, not a universal requirement. People have different values, goals, and life paths. For some, marriage brings love, companionship, and stability, while for others, fulfillment may come from personal growth, career goals, or community service. Forcing everyone to marry can lead to unhappy unions, emotional stress, and even domestic conflicts, especially when people marry out of pressure rather than genuine desire.
In modern society, what matters most is individual happiness and purpose, not meeting social expectations. Some people are emotionally, financially, or mentally not ready for marriage—and that’s perfectly fine. What should be encouraged instead is emotional maturity, mutual respect, and self-awareness, whether one chooses marriage or not. In essence, marriage should remain a choice built on love and readiness, not a compulsory tradition.
