If the debts was from loan, I don’t think it’s a reasonable thing to invest it.

Using borrowed money to invest especially from loans is often called leverage. While it can amplify gains, it can also magnify losses. You could lose more money than you initially invested.

Another thing is, debt hanging over your head can be stressful. If your investments don’t perform well, the pressure to repay the debt can affect your mental and financial well-being.

Several factors determine whether to invest or pay off debt. Credit card debt should normally be paid off first because the interest expense may surpass the possible investment gains.

Mortgages and other low-interest obligations, on the other hand, permit parallel investing. When making this choice, take into account your risk tolerance, financial objectives, and emergency fund.

A balanced strategy that takes into account both investment and debt demands can be advantageous. A financial advisor can provide you with individualized advice.

Being financially indebted to another, for sure would not give you peace of mind, and you will not be able to fully engage in any other financial activities such as investing and saving money. In order to let go of any unsatisfaction of being indebted to another, it is absolutely advice that you clear off your financial debt, because doing so will help you to engage in other financial activities more freely. Also you did not have to worry about what other people think about your investment due to the fact that the money that you yield is yours.

Another angle is to think about momentum paying off debt gives you instant progress and lowers your monthly expenses, which can free up more money later for investing. On the other hand, starting to invest early helps you build long-term habits and lets your money grow over time. If your debt isn’t crushing and you feel stable, doing both slowly can keep you moving without feeling stuck. But if the debt feels heavy or urgent, clearing it first might give you the clean slate you need to move forward confidently.

Choosing whether to pay off debt or invest depends on your financial situation, but a smart approach is to first look at the type of debt you have. If the debt has a high interest rate, like many loans or unpaid bills, it is usually better to pay it off first because the interest grows fast and can trap you financially. If the debt has a low interest rate, you can sometimes pay it slowly while investing small amounts. However, you should always make sure you have a basic emergency savings and avoid taking new debts. Paying off debt gives peace of mind, while investing helps grow your future, so balancing both carefully is the safest choice.

Deciding whether to pay off your debt or invest depends on the type of debt you have and your overall financial stability. If your debt has high interest, it is usually wiser to pay it off first because the interest grows quickly and can become a heavy burden. Clearing it gives you more freedom and reduces stress. If the debt has low interest, you may choose to pay it gradually while investing small amounts, but only after securing an emergency fund. The safest approach is to reduce risky debts first, avoid new loans, and then slowly start investing when your finances are more stable.
