She refuse to pay back my money, what should i do?

Please guys, i need your opinion and advice on this. My neighbor collected or let me say loaned money from me, i gave her the exact date to return without interest. Today is the day, she’s now saying she doesn’t have the money to clear the debts, it’s really serious here, i need your opinion. What should i do? Should i start adding daily interest or arrest her?

    Give room for her to renegotiate but this time, get a recorded commitment of the consequences of not paying back and let her agree. With that, you would have legal grounds to take action.

This is why I only give out money I can afford to forget unless there’s a good parameters on ground on how I can recover my money just like with the banks that get collateral as evidence incase you can’t pay up. So you have to start adding interest to the money there’s nothing you can do. Arresting her might not still solve the problem.

    It is very important for you to understand the kind of relationship between you and your neighbor and what excuse was given you for not paying because the excuse me really be what will determine what your response will be in this case. If it is a very legible excuse then you should be understanding
