Both public jobs and private jobs have benefits of their own type. Most people prefer public jobs as they offer the most job security, consistent salary, a pension plan, health insurance, and a set time clock. They typically have less work pressure, creating a better work/life balance.
On the other hand, private jobs have faster advancement opportunities, more potential salary, bonuses, and training opportunities. The jobs are more competitive, being merit-based jobs; this helps ambitious workers to move up faster.
What is best for you depends on your own personal goals. If you prefer to have job security and long-term stability then public jobs would best suit your needs. However, if you prefer innovation and growth and have the potential to earn more money than public jobs would be the better option for you.
