To start a palm tree farm, you’ll need to acquire suitable land, preferably in the eastern or western parts of Nigeria, if one is a Nigerian and with good soil, adequate rainfall, and sunshine You can easily sustain your palm plantations to have a bumper harvest in due time.

It takes a few years before the trees start producing, but once they do, the demand for palm oil and other products can bring steady income. Success depends on having good land, quality seedlings, and proper care. It’s not a quick-money venture, but if you’re patient and manage it well, it can turn into a reliable and profitable source of income over time.

Palm tree plantation is one investment that I always consider trans-generational. When it starts to yield, it would keep paying a person for up to 30 years. My grandparents died about fifteen years ago and we are still reaping the yields of the palm trees that they planted. Investing in an oil palm plantation is a very good investment for anyone to make. It requires patience though as the best breeds of oil palm seeds would take about 7 years to start yielding.
