If you are a religious person then I think the best answer is that the man is responsible for providing for the family.

But in our society today that is not the case because of the gender equality that we have been facing and also how hard life has become.

So the man is not fully capable of providing for the family and it will be nice to force from his wife.

But since a man is the head of the family I believe that his own responsibility should be bigger than that of a woman,so a woman must support her husband financially to make things easier for the family.

A man not only has the responsibility to lead, protect, and provide for his family, but he also has to fulfill this duty because naturally, men are easier to tolerate stress, make important decisions, have strength and endurance.

Every man needs to provide for his family. This is a man  natural sense of responsibility, providing for the family means more than meeting physical needs. It also means taking responsibility to provide for emotional and spiritual needs

Times have changed and gender roles has evolved. I am a lady and I don’t expect my man to bear the responsibility of providing for the family alone. I work and we jointly provide for the family. And I also expect him to help me with house keeping. The pressure of expecting a man to provide for the family all by himself can make him develop high blood pressure. Marriage and family life is a teamwork and we approach it as such.

You would be glad even with your self for being that responsibie.
