So basically, it is to have self discipline. Before you take any action it is good to think things through and be sure you wouldn’t do a thing that would bring you shame or disgrace in the present or in the future.

Preventing yourself from disgrace starts with self-discipline, emotional control, and self-awareness. Think before you act or speak, especially in public or emotional situations. Always prepare well for tasks, presentations, or responsibilities to avoid careless mistakes. Dress appropriately, respect others, and mind your behavior, because reputation builds from small actions. Avoid gossip, lies, or arguments that could expose you negatively. Learn to admit mistakes privately and correct them instead of denying them publicly. Stay humble and consistent — pride often leads to embarrassment. Finally, build confidence through knowledge, practice, and good manners; when you act responsibly and respect yourself, disgrace becomes unlikely.

Preventing yourself from disgrace starts with self-awareness, discipline, and wise decision-making. First, think before you act or speak—many embarrassing situations come from reacting too quickly. Learn to control your emotions, especially anger, excitement, and fear, because these can push you into actions you later regret.

Surround yourself with people who influence you positively; wrong friends can easily lead you into shameful behavior. Build good habits such as punctuality, honesty, cleanliness, and respect for others—these small things protect your reputation more than you realize. Avoid places, conversations, and activities that can easily put you in trouble.

Also, always prepare yourself: dress appropriately for occasions, keep your promises, and admit mistakes early before they become bigger issues. If you feel tempted to do something that goes against your values, pause and ask yourself how it will look tomorrow or next week. Acting with wisdom, humility, and self-control helps you maintain dignity and avoid disgrace.
