One way to know whether someone is manipulating is when they keep repeating the same mistake they did to hurt you and claiming to care about you.
When the person Ghosts for a long time and comes back claim to love you, then you know the person does not love you at all.
Also when the person in question is the only person you benefiting from the relationship then you should know that you have been manipulated .
