How Much Money Should We Invest Each Month?

We are not the whales, so when investing, we have to do it in stages or apply dollar cost averaging, so that it allows us to invest quietly every month or does not disturb our routine monthly needs, so we have to invest with idle money. There are several ways to calculate how much money we are idle every month.
1st. Add up all our income every month both from regular work, freelance and from earning sites such as forum sites, blogs etc.
2nd. Add up all your regular expenses, be it for food, clothes, paying for electricity, water, paying for internet subscriptions, etc.
3rd, Subtract income from expenses so that there is net income.
4th. At this stage, we can determine whether we are worthy of investing or have to improve or increase income first.

If we are eligible to be investors, it means that our income is greater than expenses. You can decide about 60% – 80% of your net income to buy investment instruments. Meanwhile, you can use the remaining money as an emergency reserve fund.

What’s the best thing to do? It’s best to create a budget and assess your expenses to determine how much you can comfortably invest. If you find this difficult i think you should consider consulting with a financial advisor to tailor a plan that suits your specific needs.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here, as the ideal amount to invest each month depends on your individual financial situation and goals. However, here are some general guidelines:

Set a budget – Determine how much you can reasonably afford to invest each month without compromising your other financial obligations. Avoid simply investing leftover money.

Pay yourself first – Automatically transfer your investment amount each month before spending on discretionary items. This builds discipline.

Aim for 10-15% of income – Contributing 10-15% of your gross income into investments each month is a good target for most people. This includes employer retirement account contributions.

Max out tax-advantaged accounts – If eligible, prioritize maxing out IRA, 401k, HSA, and other tax-advantaged investment accounts before taxable brokerage investing.

Consider windfalls – Bonuses, tax refunds, and monetary gifts could supplement your normal monthly investing amount. Even small windfalls add up.

Increase over time – Consider increasing your monthly investment amount by 1-3% per year or whenever you get a raise. This builds your invested assets faster.

Start small if needed – Even $50-100 per month is beneficial. Investing something is better than nothing while you work to increase your investing contributions.

The more you can consistently invest each month, the better. Work within your budget and stick to the plan. Time and compounding will help grow your invested wealth.

Well, I think that it all depends on your investment portfolio and the investment budget. There are many people who could afford to lose much money because they have a really high risk tolerance ratio. Many people may not be able to invest a lots of money, so they have a really low risk tolerance ratio. So, it entirely depends on your risk appetite.

However, most people agree that you should be investing 10-20 percent of your monthly income. Sadly, this is not possible for lower income people.

It is possible that investing in instruments is not everyone cup of tea since it needs someone having knowledge, most of people invest instead on cryptocurrencies or forex trading but buy and sell buildings and properties is not possible for everyone.
