Dealing with a child that is poor academically can be very demanding as a parent, but the first thing to do is to find out the areas the child is performing poorly, then take out time to ask the child questions like are they having difficulties understanding the teacher handling this subjects, or do they find the subject boring or is there any reason in particular why they are performing poorly here. The next step would be to find a home lesson teacher that suits them based on their answers. This will greatly help the child improve.

In actual science there are some children that need special attention while others is just need to be given guidance and others need to be put on the road with a rod meaning you have to kind of discipline them. You have to just understand where your own child falls

If your child is struggling academically despite changes in schools, the first step is to understand why learning difficulties, attention issues, or gaps in foundational skills could be the cause. Focus on support, not blame: spend time helping with homework, seek tutoring if needed, and maintain open communication with teachers. Encourage strengths outside academics too, so your child builds confidence. Patience, consistency, and a supportive environment often help more than pressure, and sometimes professional assessment can reveal strategies that make learning easier.
