How can you protect your self from fake websites?

In this our era
I see a lot of people getting scammed by this so called yahoo boys.
How can your protect yourself from them?

    Never click on a link embedded in an email. Even if sent from someone you trust, always type the link into your browser
    Use your common sense. Does a website look strange to you? Is it asking for sensitive personal information? If it looks unsafe, don’t take the risk.
    Look for signs of legitimacy. Does the website list contact information or some signs of a real-world presence. If doubtful, contact them by phone or email to establish their legitimacy.
    Read the URL carefully. If this is a website you frequent, is the URL spelled correctly? Often times, phishers will set up websites almost identical to the spelling of the site you are trying to visit. An accidental mistype may lead you to a fraudulent version of the site.
    If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Is the website offering you a product or service at an unheard of price? Or maybe they are promising you a huge return on investment? If the offer looks too good to be true, trust your instincts. Do some research to find reviews or warnings from other users.

    Thanks for the question. I have been scam so many time from scammers because i did not know the real website, but now i take experience from what i face online.

    This is what i use to do to protect my self from fake website :
    If i want to join any project online or website for any online business i will first copy the website link, then i will open my scam avicer then paste the link there, if the website is not a real website the scam avicer will dictate from there i will know what to do.
    Also if i want to join anything online i use to do research before i do.

For me I think there's no legit platform for now because, some may stay for some months or even a year, at last you be surprised that it's has crash and with investors money.     Legit platform is not easy to find but thorough research, reviewing the site and contacting the company, you will be able to protect yourself from scam.

    Few things to do to help us avoid scam website involved to click on pop up ads, especially those that ask for personal information or payment details. Legitimate websites typically do not use aggressive pop-ups.

    Another thing is if a website offers deals or discounts that seem too good to be true, it’s often a red flag for a fake site.

    You can always use domain lookup tools to check domain registration information. If the website’s domain was recently created or has hidden registration details, be cautious it maybe scam.
