Here are some tips to spot potential scam investment schemes:

    • Promises very high returns with little to no risk – Any investment promising way above market returns with no downside should raise red flags. Often too good to be true.
    • Sounds too complex or secretive – If the investment opportunity is described in overly complicated terms or as exclusive secrets, it may be to avoid proper explanation.
    • Refuses to provide detailed information – Legitimate investments should provide prospectuses with details, financials, terms, etc. Lack of info is suspicious.
    • Claims celebrity endorsements – Scammers often falsely claim support from famous business people or celebrities. Verify these endorsements.
    • Uses pressure tactics to invest quickly – Creating false urgency by pushing to invest right away instead of allowing proper vetting.
    • Tries avoiding regulatory oversight – Any attempt to say the opportunity is exempt from oversight or registration with authorities is very risky.
    • Offers commissions for recruiting more investors – Ponzi scheme-like offerings that rely on new money from recruits to provide returns.
    • Hosts sales pitches rather than informative events – Events focused on “signing up” rather than objective info sharing.
    • Difficult to find background info on promoters – Research the founders. Lack of reputation or credentials may indicate risks.
    • Guarantees against all losses – There are always risks in investing, so guarantees against any losses at all are unrealistic.

Conducting proper due diligence, verifying details, avoiding pressure tactics, and trusting your instincts can help spot problematic investment opportunities. If unsure, it’s best to avoid.

This is indeed a very good question that is worth asking because majority of individuals have lost their funds as well as their hard-earned money online by engaging in various scams set up by individuals who are only after individuals money not really about the interest. Many individuals have definitely ask this question and to be sincere and honest most individuals have given different answers on how an individual can identify a scam scheme. To identify a scam platform or website an individual must conduct his or her research first about the website there for comparing comments of others who have possibly use the website and from there you could decide whether you can invest based on the comments of these individuals.

You can also try using a scam adviser platform or website to for the text to your knowledge on this, there are so many scam advising software that can read the legitimacy and illegitimacy of any website. My recommended one to you guys is “trip advisor”
