Google Ads and Facebook Ads each have their pros and cons for running advertising campaigns:

    Google Ads pros:

    • Massive reach across Google properties like Search, YouTube, Gmail, etc.
    • Appear when people are actively searching for products/services. Good for capturing intent.
    • Advanced targeting options by demographics, location, interests, and more.
    • Wide array of ad formats including text, display, video, and more.
    • Pay only for clicks vs impressions.
    • Work on a real-time auction system where advertisers bid for ad placement.

    Facebook Ads pros:

    • More cost-effective than Google in many cases.
    • Target users more precisely based on Facebook’s data like age, interests, behaviors.
    • Allow sequential storytelling via Newsfeed placement.
    • Best for brand awareness vs direct response.
    • Strong at re-targeting users who have engaged with your content or brand before.

In general Google Ads are better for searching and intent-based marketing. Facebook works well for brand building and awareness. Evaluating your specific business goals, target audience and capabilities on each platform can help determine the better fit. Testing both to see returns on spend is recommended.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It depends on your goals and your target audience. If you’re looking to capture users actively searching for your products or services, Google Ads might be more suitable. If you want to build brand awareness, engage with your audience, and have a visually appealing product, Facebook Ads could be a better fit. In many cases, a combination of both platforms could provide a well-rounded advertising strategy.

It’s essential to consider your business’s unique characteristics, the behavior of your target audience, your available budget, and the specific goals you want to achieve. Testing both platforms with smaller budgets can help you gauge which one is more effective for your particular business and objectives.

What I mean is, both google ads and facebook ads, it all depends on your advertising goal and your targeting audience.

Because google Ads offer placements in search results and on websites within the Google Display Network. Facebook Ads can appear in users’ news feeds, Instagram feeds, Audience Network and more.

Google Ads allow you to show ads to users who have previously visited your website, while Facebook Ads let you retarget users based on their interactions with your Facebook page or website.
