There needs to be a limit as to how long a child should watch cartoons, this way you can control how much of it they consume, and most importantly create more time for them to focus on other things as well.

With the incessant way the kids watches cartoon it can weaken kids’ eye sight, or strain their eyes as they stay glue to the screen almost all day.

It can also  lead to spine curvature disorders. Lack of physical activity also creates problems with obesity. This is due to the hours they spend being inactive and just saying at a spot to watch the screen

Furthermore, many experts stress negative impact of cartoons on speech development of children by the age of three

My cousins all grew up watching lots of cartoons and have grown up to become responsible adults. There is no way that watching cartoons in itself harms a child. It is more about the particular cartoons the child is exposed to. Believe you me, there are cartoons that depict violence and immorality. And if you allow your child to watch such cartoons, it would have negative effects on your child.  Parental supervision is really needed to make choices of cartoons kids are watching.

If kids watch for hours without breaks, it might affect their attention, make them less active, or expose them to ideas that aren’t always good. The key is to choose age-appropriate, educational shows and set limits on screen time. When balanced with other activities like playing outside and reading, cartoons can be fun and even help learning.
