The higher the noise level, the louder the noise. It can lead to hearing loss if you listen to them for more than 8 hours at a time.

So Yes, listening to loud music for extended periods can lead to hearing loss. This is often referred to as noise-induced hearing loss When sounds exceed 85 decibels (dB), prolonged exposure can damage the hair cells in the cochlea of the inner ear, which can result in permanent hearing loss over time.

Using earpieces at lower volumes, taking regular breaks, and choosing noise-canceling headphones to avoid turning the volume up too high are practical ways to protect your hearing.

Yes—loud music can absolutely damage your ears, whether you use earpieces or not. The real issue isn’t the device, it’s the volume and duration.

When sound is too loud (generally above 85 decibels) or listened to for long periods, it can harm the tiny hair cells in your inner ear. This leads to permanent hearing loss or ringing in the ears (tinnitus).

Earpieces aren’t inherently dangerous. In fact, at moderate volume, they can be safer because they block outside noise—so you don’t need to turn the volume up as high. People who avoid them but play loud music on speakers can still damage their ears.

The key is safe listening: Keep volume below 60%
    Take breaks
Avoid prolonged exposure to loud sounds

So yes, loud music is the real risk—not the earpiece itself.
