Firstly let’s define what is democracy according to Abraham Lincoln democracy is defined as the government of the people by the people and for the people so what he was trying to say is that democracy is a system of government who ruling whereby the person elected his men to rule the people based on their interest and not to his interest so whatsoever the person does is for good of the citizens so comparing this definition to Nigeria we can say that democracy is being practice in Nigeria because people rule the citizens based on the interest not for the interest of the citizens who elected them
