Yes, and even if you have savings don’t put all your money into a single investment. Diversify your portfolio across different assets to spread risk. This helps protect your investments when one sector underperforms.

Try to learn and study about the kind investment you want to involve yourself before you start.

You have to have at least emergency funds to yourself because it can enable you to respond promptly to urgent situations, whether it’s paying for a sudden medical expense or repairing a leaking roof and so on.

It’s generally recommended to have some savings set aside before investing, for a few key reasons:

    – Emergency fund – Having 3-6 months of living expenses set aside provides a cushion for unexpected expenses like job loss, medical bills, car repairs, etc. This helps prevent having to liquidate investments at an inopportune time to access cash.

    – Pay off high interest debt – Credit card debt, payday loans, etc. should be paid off before investing since their interest rates typically exceed expected investment returns.

    – Short-term savings goals – Money needed in the next 3-5 years is best kept in safer assets like savings accounts, CDs or short-term fixed income. The stock market has higher returns long term but significant short term volatility.

    – Allows dollar cost averaging – With some cash reserves, you can invest money gradually over time vs. committing it all immediately. This helps manage market risk.

    – Provides stability during market swings – Having cash reserves prevents having to sell investments at a loss to cover living expenses during market downturns.

    – Reduces temptation to touch investments – Having accessible savings lowers the urge to tap invested funds which should be left to grow long term.

The amount needed in savings varies by your specific obligations and risk tolerance. A moderate emergency fund and paying off high interest debt provide a stable base to start investing from.

No I don’t think there’s a rule fits all for this . I think one should just go for the one that one deem fits and would work effortlessly for you. The thing is that some people just love to invest then save the yields from the investment which looks good but it doesn’t mean that saving them you later invest is bad or wrong. For me it is just a choice Which anyone can go with and that’s fine.

But personally I just like the idea of investing as I would be getting more money then I can start saving later.
