Can metals be considered as an asset for profit?

I don’t know what other investors of the same level who don’t have a lot of funds and not a lot of knowledge think about it. However, I do not consider these metals as an asset for profit because I understand that their profitability is not high and this asset has always been an asset to save funds from inflation. I plan to buy such metals, however, not from a broker, but in physical form, because this way I will try to save some sums from inflation for many years to come

    My take;

    Yes, metals can be considered an asset for profit, depending on the type and investment strategy. Precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum often increase in value over time and can protect against inflation. While they may not always give quick or high returns, they are reliable for long-term wealth preservation. Buying physical metals can also provide security and control over your investment.
