Can I make money online by reading books?

Lately I have heard a lot of people say that they can make reasonable and comfortable amount of money online through applications and direct websites just by reading random books or even their favourite books on this platforms. Saying that this is a question-and-answer forum, I want to simply ask whether it’s such money-making strategy possible and even if it is possible is it also advisable. In my own view and perspective I believe that it is going to be interesting because reading books is part of my hobby, and today I read many books and yet do not get paid for it, it would therefore be very interesting to know that I can make money online by reading books.
