A good rule of thumb is to start charging when it drops to around 20%, and try not to keep it plugged in all the way to 100% all the time. Keeping it between about 20% and 80% helps your battery stay healthier longer, so don’t stress about charging it often just avoid those really low or full charges whenever you can.

To keep your phone battery healthy and long-lasting, it’s best to charge it when it drops to around 20% and unplug it once it reaches 80–90%. Modern lithium-ion batteries don’t need to reach 100% every time; constant full charges can increase battery wear over time. Avoid letting your phone drop to 0% often, as that stresses the battery cells. Charging overnight occasionally is fine if your phone has overcharge protection, but regular partial charging is healthier. Also, avoid using your phone while charging or exposing it to excessive heat. Keeping your battery between 20% and 80% helps maintain good performance and extends its lifespan.
