Some banks also partner with international providers to offer cards that work both locally and globally. In Nigeria there are credit cards that exist but are generally not as popular as a debit card. Only some banks will issue credit cards to customers that earn, employees, business owners or people that have strong banking history. Some of popular credit card providers issued by banks in Nigeria include GTBank, Access Bank and First Bank of Nigeria. Credit Cards give a person the right to use the card today or tomorrow but pay for it later. However, a person may be charged interest if they do not make timely payment.
