Best method I had adopted several times which had yield a very good result in increasing customer base is listening and making changes .

In the sense that when one want to accumulate customers the best way is always to listen to their comments on what you are selling, either a positive comments or a negative ones .

Then secondly try as much as possible to make them understand what you feel about their complaint and promise to work on it.

And when you do this it should be with the best possible manner you can afford.

Also one should also be friendly and approachable to customers as people feel more comfortable in buying good from a smiling and approachable face than  unfriendly latter . Which implies that good attitude to customers increase customer base too

A barbing salon is a very popular and common business not just in my country but in almost every part of the world, what I don’t understand is how they pay their workers. Most barbing salons have up to three or five and even more barbers working. There are days where there are no jobs at all so how are the workers paid? Are they paid per the number of hair they cut or are they paid a specific amount monthly?

Here are some common pay structures for barbershop employees:

    • Commission – Many barbershops pay employees a percentage commission on the services they provide. A typical commission rate is 50-60% of each haircut or other service. Barbers keep that percentage of what they earn.
    • Booth rental – Some shops rent out space (“chairs” or “booths”) to barbers to operate as independent contractors. Barbers pay a fixed weekly/monthly rent for their space but keep all their earnings.
    • Hourly wage + tips – Some barbershops pay a base hourly wage similar to other service roles, with barbers keeping any tips. Wages vary but $10-15 per hour is typical.
    • Hourly + commission – Shops may pay a lower hourly wage plus a smaller commission percentage, guaranteeing barbers a base rate while providing commission incentives.
    • Salary – Experienced senior barbers may negotiate a set salary not dependent on productivity. Owners may pay themselves a salary separate from shop profits.
    • Hourly or salary + profit sharing – To encourage team thinking, shops may offer bonuses based on reaching overall profit goals.

Many shops use hybrid models, with newer barbers on hourly or commission and experienced ones on salary or booth rental. Profit sharing encourages mentoring. Owners must ensure pay structure complies with labor laws. Tip pooling policies also vary by shop.

The cost of starting a palm oil storage business can vary depending on various factors such as location, size of the storage facility, equipment, permits, and operational expenses. However, here is a general breakdown of potential costs involved:

    1. Facility: The cost of leasing or purchasing a suitable storage facility can vary significantly depending on the location and size. It is recommended to invest in a well-maintained and secure space specifically designed for storing palm oil. Costs can range from several hundred thousand dollars to millions, depending on the scale of operations.

    2. Equipment: You would need to purchase storage tanks or containers specifically designed for palm oil storage. The number and size of tanks will depend on the capacity of your business. The cost of equipment can range from several thousand to several hundred thousand dollars.

    3. Licensing and permits: You need to comply with local regulations and obtain necessary licenses and permits for operating a palm oil storage business. The cost of these permits can vary depending on your location.

    4. Infrastructure and utilities: You will need to invest in infrastructure such as roads, loading/offloading facilities, and utilities like water, electricity, and security systems. The costs can vary depending on the existing infrastructure in the area and the upgrades required.

    5. Operational expenses: This includes costs such as employee salaries, maintenance, insurance, transportation, and marketing. The actual amount will vary based on the size of your operations and the complexity of your logistics.

It is difficult to provide an exact estimate without specific details, but starting a palm oil storage business can cost anywhere from tens of thousands to several million dollars, depending on these factors. It is advisable to conduct detailed market research and consult with industry experts to get a more accurate estimation for your specific situation.

Most times, women’s fashion brings in more money due to wider choices, quicker shifts in what’s popular, while shoppers refill their wardrobes often. Because of this, stores can suggest costlier items, leading to bigger profits per sale. On the flip side, men’s wear stays steadier – styles change less, buying happens at longer gaps, though repeat visits happen less. Success usually comes when blending both, aiming toward one clear group without spreading too thin.
