Employee training is a very good program in all business. It refreshes employee’s knowledge and skills while impacting new knowledge and skills. Here are some steps to building a training program;
- Assessment of training needs – You need to identify the knowledge and skills gaps among the workers. Then set training objectives that align with filling that gap. It is from this objectives that you will then come up with a training plan.
- Choose internal or external trainers with the right expertise and experience to train the workers. They will be responsible for developing the training plan, scheduling and delivering the training.
- Once the training is done, do a follow up to check it’s effectiveness. Then document the training for future references and improvement.
