Tell them about the value of what you are selling, how much this product or service will help them in their lives. Such a person will focus more on the tangible benefit and less on how much they will pay to get the goods or services.

You can also find ideas from your own hobbies. Maybe you like crocheting, moulding clay or making decorations. You can sell the things you make and start a business out of your own hobbies.

Businesses people should truly pay themselves, it means they have earned what they worked hard for. But it should not come out of your sales because that contains both the profit and money that should buy stock. A business person should pay themselves only from the profit made. That is the amount that remains after restocking, paying off expenses and bills. The expenses should include employee’s salary. Then the remaining amount is what the business owner pays himself with. Of which they can choose to reinvest so as to earn more income from the business in future.

But I also know that I can hire someone to manage my business, which also comes with the risk of being stolen from. That is why I like investment, if you find a legit platform or method of investing, the risks are easier to manage. You just need good knowledge and skills and you an earn passively without putting in too much effort. Investment also offers the ability to diversify into different methods in order to increase income streams while spreading the risks.

I used to think like you sometimes back, that business people have more time to rest unlike salaried employees. But the opposite is true, business people have more work hours and are even likely to work on weekends unlike most salaried people. This means that rest time is a personal plan for business people. They should decide on when they should take a rest.

That means having a specific time for closing their shop each day so as to get some good sleep. It also means choosing one day in a week when they close their shop and take a rest. Or better still, employ workers and create shifts that balance work and rest time.

Competitors may be viewed as bad for business but they come with some advantages. One of them is that they make business people to be more innovative. They have to come up with strategies that helps them stand out so as to survive the competition. Another advantage is that it makes managers and employees to be more proactive and skilled in order to be on top of their game.

Another great advantage of competition is that market awareness increases. With customers knowing more about products and services available and their need for them, they are better able to seek them from the businesses.

As a rule of the thumb, your rent should never be more than 30% of your income. Though there are instances where you are living with a partner and you have a plan on cost sharing. In such an instance, you could be paying nothing for rent or you could be paying most of your income on rent while they cover other expenses. Such a scenario needs both parties to communicate clearly and plan on their budget so as to stay financially secure as a couple. It is a great plan when you have a roommate but only works well when you have an agreement.
