To mine cryptocurrency, different equipment is used, such as an ASIC or a regular video card. I had experience using both elements, but I am interested in what you chose for mining, because after ethereum stopped being available for mining, there is no need for video cards

Here are more reasons to consider when choosing between ASIC and GPU mining:
Efficiency: ASICs are specifically designed for a single type of algorithm, making them highly efficient for that particular coin. They consume less power per hash rate compared to GPUs, resulting in lower electricity costs and potentially higher profits.
Performance: ASICs are optimized for a specific algorithm, providing superior performance compared to GPUs in terms of hash rates and mining speed for that particular coin.
Longevity: ASICs typically have a longer lifespan and higher durability than GPUs since they are purpose-built and have fewer components susceptible to wear and tear.
Difficulty: As ASICs are more efficient, they can mine coins faster, potentially allowing you to mine more coins before the network difficulty increases. This could be advantageous when mining newly launched or less popular coins.
Heat and Noise: ASICs are often more compact and generate less heat and noise compared to a large number of GPUs, which can be beneficial for home setups.
On the other hand:
Flexibility: GPUs can mine a variety of coins, making them adaptable to changes in the market and potentially providing a more stable income if the value of a specific coin drops.
Resale Value: GPUs have a higher resale value compared to ASICs, as they can still be used for gaming and other tasks if mining becomes less profitable.
Network Changes: If a cryptocurrency’s algorithm or network undergoes a hard fork or significant changes, ASICs may become obsolete, whereas GPUs could potentially continue mining with new software.
