Respect your customers if you want them to respect you too. It does not mean that because a customer wears poorly, it already means he is the wrong person or cannot afford to buy anything in your business. Who knows if that person is just testing your attitude as a business owner? My friend’s father was a governor in their province and he went to the city to buy a new car. He wears poorly. The car sales agent did not entertain his dad and disallowed him to get into the car shop to choose the latest model of Toyota. The governor wears slippers and a rugged hat. The agent did not see the governor parked his car nearby. The governor told the agent that he is in a hurry, but the agent was not convinced.
In that scenario, the company manager came and entertain the governor with full respect and honor. The governor told his intention to buy the latest model of Toyota. The company manager was so lovely and he allowed the governor to choose the model he liked. To everyone’s surprise, the bag the governor brought was full of cash money and he paid for the car instantly. Foremost, what a shame on that agent’s side when he learned the man he rejected was the governor in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The word respect is very important in business and everywhere to anyone or everyone.
