Debit cards and credit cards both have advantages, but the “better” option depends on how well you manage money. Debit cards help control spending because you use your own money directly from your bank account, making you more careful with purchases. Credit cards, however, offer benefits like rewards, emergency funds, and credit score building if used responsibly. The problem comes when people overspend borrowed money and struggle with repayment. For daily budgeting, debit cards are often safer, while credit cards are better for disciplined users.

I pursue savings because it gives me a sense of security, independence, and confidence about the future. Life is unpredictable, and having money saved helps handle emergencies without panic or stress. Savings also make it possible to achieve bigger goals like starting a business, buying a home, traveling, or supporting family when needed. I see saving as a form of self-discipline and self-respect because it means thinking ahead instead of only living for the moment. Even small savings grow over time, and they create opportunities and freedom that are hard to get without financial stability.

Well, stident should be able to know that money don’t come easy to them, there’s a whole lot of school activities that could take away all your money fast, so a student has to know their steams of income, it would enable the student make a list or budget. Also whenever he/she goes home, the student should always get things in bulk to organise or cook his or her own food, inorder to avoid spending money eating in resturants or canteens. Also lookout for discounts, at any given oppourtunity. Sometimes it’s good to have some type of skill that can enable you make little pocket money while in school. For example when i was still in school i had this computer skill, which enabled me make money from fellow students, i helped with their typing and managing their projects work, which was really helpful then. Also getting a part-time job is also a good way to manage money. And if you have no lectures wouldn’t you rather stay in your hostel or stay home.
