Yes, because business is largely unpredictable you do not know if you’ll be able to be successful or not and when you take out a loan there’s a lot of pressure on your neck to pay back, the lender do not care if you are successful or not, but if you use your own money, you’re bearing the risk 100% you wouldn’t care much if it succeeds or not.

I also won’t advise taking a loan to build a business, save your money first and start small, that’s how you move up in your business instead of taking a loan.

The debt snowball method involves paying off debts from smallest to largest, providing a sense of accomplishment and motivation early on, but may result in paying more in interest in the long run. The debt avalanche method prioritizes paying off debts with the highest interest rates first, saving money on interest over time, but may take longer to see progress on smaller debts. To determine the best approach, I am of the opinion that you consider factors such as total debt amount, interest rates, and personal motivation levels to choose the strategy that aligns best with your financial goals and circumstances.

For the borrower, the disadvantage is that the loan limit is usually low. You won’t borrow much money from the other peer. It also comes with really high interest rates that could harden your pay back.

Personally, I don’t do peer to peer lending whether as a borrower or a lender. I prefer other loan taking methods.

I understand debt consolidation as the process of combining all your debts into one. This can be achieved by taking one huge loan from a financial institution and using it to pay all the debts you have.

The benefit of this is that you will reduce the loan interests that were growing in each of your loans. You will also fix any personal relationships that were broken in the case of getting mad at by the people you borrowed from.

You will just have to now work and pay off that institution that you have borrowed largely from.
