Every other thing you might try can help you figure it out for a while and then back to your bad habit but building together with an accountability is sustainable as long as you’re honest with yourself.

Managing your finances is a gateway to building your savings. This is because you will track your expenses to know how much you need for them. Then you can budget for future money and decide early on how much you need to save. Doing this consistently will help you grow a savings account that will get fatter as you continue saving.

Managing finances also means identifying things you spend on that are not really necessary. That way, you can cut back on those expenses and focus all the extra money in saving. With time, you will have enough money saved up that you can use to invest or start a business.

Automation for savings and bills won’t truly stop you from getting a loan, it is only you who will stop yourself. This is by practicing utmost discipline and controlling your desires and urges to spend when you cannot afford to. It takes so much willpower to say no to your urges but the more you do it, the easier it gets.

So as you continue automating your savings and bills, also control your spending on the side. That will help you much better than just believing that automation does it all.

A freelancer’s earnings are always unstable as it depends on whether or not they get jobs done. On those days that they get clients and earn well, their income is high. But sometimes they don’t get clients or the ones they get don’t pay much, that means their income gets low that month.

Freelancers need to be aware of this so that they can plan on how they will spend money each time they get it. Better still, they may need to get more stable sources of income then use freelance work as extra sources of income, that is if they will get time for it.

It may also be great for them to practice bulk shopping and paying bills ahead. That is when they get fat pay checks, they prioritize the future needs and expenses so as to cover those times when they may not earn much.
