Yes, Binance still works in Nigeria, but only in a limited and unofficial way. You can still use the platform for crypto-to-crypto trades, but naira transactions (deposits and withdrawals) have been disabled since early 2024. Officially, Binance is under fire from Nigerian regulators, and using it now comes with serious risks.

    Here’s what’s really happening:

    • In 2023, the Nigerian SEC declared Binance’s operations illegal.

    • By early 2024, the CBN intensified the crackdown. Two Binance executives were arrested for alleged financial violations.

    • In March 2024, Binance removed all support for naira. No more direct naira deposits or withdrawals.

    • The Nigerian government has made it clear they don’t want Binance operating in the country.

What does this mean for you as a Nigerian user?

    • You can still access Binance (some use VPNs), but it’s risky.

    • No naira services — only crypto-to-crypto.

    • Any use of the platform puts you in a grey legal area. If Binance runs into more issues, your funds could get stuck.

    • Nigerian users have already started shifting to local exchanges or trusted P2P platforms.

    Better options for Nigerians now:

    1. Quidax – Nigerian-owned and easier to use for naira transactions.

    2. P2P platforms like Paxful or KuCoin’s P2P – Still active and flexible.

    3. Bundle Africa or Yellow Card – Designed with Nigerian users in mind and currently allowed.

    Real talk:
You can still use Binance, but don’t rely on it like before. The naira door is closed, and any workaround you use (like VPN or P2P) is at your own risk. If you’re just trying to trade or invest in crypto from Nigeria, you’re better off using a local exchange that won’t get shut down overnight.

Creators have the freedom to set the price for their NFTs based on various factors. They consider the perceived value of their artwork or digital collectible, the demand and popularity of their work, and the rarity or uniqueness of the NFT. Market trends and comparable prices for similar NFTs also play a role in determining the price. Ultimately, creators find a balance between their desired profit and the willingness of buyers to invest in their NFTs.

Some cryptocurrencies no longer make sense because they don’t offer anything unique or useful anymore. If a coin isn’t evolving, improving, or solving a real problem, it becomes hard to see why anyone should keep using or investing in it. The crypto space moves fast, and with so many options available, only projects that continue to develop and meet genuine needs will stick around. The rest end up becoming outdated, lose their value, and eventually fade away. It’s important to focus on coins with clear purposes and active communities rather than chasing ones that have lost relevance.

Generating a paper wallet involves printing out the public and private keys on a piece of paper. These keys are then stored in a secure place, such as a safe or a safety deposit box. While highly secure if generated and stored correctly, they can be vulnerable if the paper is lost, damaged, or stolen.
Brain wallets rely on memorizing a passphrase to generate the private key. However, they are risky because if the passphrase is forgotten or too simple, the funds can be easily lost or stolen. It’s crucial to use a strong, unique passphrase.

As a newbie, starting a cryptocurrency business requires learning the basics first. Begin by researching crypto markets, blockchain technology, and different coins to understand how they work. Decide which type of business you want—like trading, crypto exchange, mining, or offering related services. Start small with a secure and legal platform, never investing more than you can afford to lose. Learn about wallets, security measures, and regulations in your country. Building credibility and trust with customers is key, so focus on transparency, safety, and continuous learning. Patience and careful planning are essential before taking bigger steps in the crypto industry.

Yes, Solana has been significant popularity as an altcoin due to its fast transaction speeds, low fees, and growing ecosystem of decentralized applications (dApps).
Actually Solana’s unique consensus mechanism, called Proof of History (PoH), helps achieve its impressive performance by ordering transactions before they are processed, enhancing scalability and efficiency. As a result, Solana has become increasingly popular among both developers and investors in the cryptocurrency space.

I’m a beginner so I put it in the Beginners & Help section.

Coinbase offers “Cosmos” with an annual return of 17.66%.
I’ve done some research on Cosmos and its future looks bright.
According to my research, it is advisable to bet only on major platforms, such as Coinbase.
I realize the downside is that you freeze your money for a while. Another downside is that due to the ups and downs of cryptocurrencies, you can lose money in the event of a crash. But that is true of any cryptocurrency, including BTC.

As far as I can tell, the annualized return remains at 17.66% over the term.
Is there a downside I’m missing?
Why don’t people just buy cryptocurrencies they can bet on?

I never advise people to invest and stake crypto, but I only provide information and guidance either on blogs or forum sites. You can stake not all coins, only coins that implement the PoS consensus mechanism, such as ADA, Sol, Ethereum, Cosmos etc. You can stake coins on staking pools like crypto exchanges Binance, Coinbase, Kraken etc and you can also stake crypto on personal wallets Atomic wallet, Trust wallet, hardware wallet etc. Of course the reward given by pool staking will be smaller than you staking on a personal wallet.

For example, if you stake Cosmos on a personal wallet, you will get a 20.4% reward, but if you stake Cosmos on Coinbase, you will only get a 17.66% reward.

Of course there are disadvantages, as long as your coin (Cosmos) is locked or frozen you cannot use it for transactions, therefore if you unlock and take your coins, and you deposit Cosmos again, the stake will start from the beginning.
