As we have said it is very unpredictable and volatile which is why you have to be very careful when you are investing into it.

But it is not very smart to over diversify your investment because at the end of the day the profit you will make won’t be that high

These pairs move more predictably and have plenty of buyers and sellers, which helps with smoother trades. Of course, some like to try smaller or exotic pairs for bigger gains, but those come with higher risks. So, starting with majors is usually the safer bet.

Some crypto exchanges are blocked in certain countries because they don’t follow local laws or rules. Many governments are still trying to understand how to manage and control cryptocurrency, so if an exchange doesn’t meet their requirements like safety checks, taxes, or money rules they stop it from working there. It doesn’t always mean the exchange is bad, just that it’s not allowed in that country. It’s important to check if a crypto exchange is legal in your country before using it.

In late 2022, after the FTX crash, Bitcoin dropped below $17,000 and Ethereum was under $1,200—many who bought then saw massive gains when BTC crossed $40k in 2024. Nigerian traders using apps like Binance or Luno often set up dollar-cost averaging, buying small amounts weekly regardless of price, to avoid chasing pumps. Waiting for a market pullback, checking Bitcoin’s Fear and Greed Index, and investing only what you can afford to lose are safer plays than rushing in during hype.

Ethereum overtaking Bitcoin is possible but not guaranteed. Bitcoin is still the most dominant because it’s seen as digital gold and has the highest market cap, but Ethereum plays a different game—it’s the backbone for DeFi, NFTs, and smart contracts. In 2021, ETH’s price jumped from around $700 in January to over $4,000 by May largely because of DeFi projects like Uniswap and lending platforms like Aave running on its network. The “Merge” to proof-of-stake cut its energy use by over 99%, making it more scalable for the future. If mass adoption of decentralized applications grows faster than Bitcoin’s store-of-value use, ETH could close the gap. Still, BTC’s brand, security, and limited supply give it an edge that’s hard to beat.

Moving Average is widely considered the most reliable trend indicator in forex. A trader following GBP/USD could use the 50-day and 200-day Moving Averages—when the 50-day crosses above the 200-day, it often signals a potential uptrend, like during the post-Brexit recovery period when the pound climbed steadily against the dollar. Pairing it with the Average Directional Index (ADX) helps confirm trend strength, so you avoid entering weak or sideways markets. Many Nigerian traders using platforms like MetaTrader 4 or TradingView watch for these signals before committing large positions to avoid unnecessary drawdowns.

Crypto’s current pump is no accident—it’s fueled by a powerful mix of institutional demand, macro optimism, and upcoming catalysts.

    What’s Driving the Rally?

    • Institutional ETF inflows: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs—especially BlackRock’s—are driving massive capital into crypto. Harvard’s $116 million holding in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF is one of the largest yet, pushing overall market cap higher.
    • Bullish macro conditions: The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is low, signaling reduced fear in traditional markets and encouraging risk-on behavior—including into cryptocurrencies.
    • Technical momentum: Bitcoin is pushing past key Fibonacci levels (like the 1.618 extension) near $122K, signaling potential for continued upside with targets toward $140K and beyond.
    • Altcoin catalysts ahead: Markets are watching events like Stellar’s Q2 report, Lido DAO’s tokenholder call, and Arbitrum’s token unlock—each of which could spark sharp altcoin moves.

    Summary in Plain Terms

You’re seeing a powerful updraft: big players are pumping in liquidity through ETFs, traditional markets are calm enough for money to flow into crypto, Bitcoin is technically strong, and altcoins are gearing up for their own breakout stories.

So yes—what’s pumping crypto right now is a solid storm of institutional buying, market confidence, strategic technical breaks, and upcoming altcoin fireworks.

Mining crypto coins can generate passive income by earning rewards for helping to verify transactions on the blockchain. When you mine, your computer does the work, and in return, you get coins as payment. This can be a steady way to earn money without actively trading. However, it’s important to choose legitimate mining projects because some are scams or require high costs that outweigh earnings. Doing research and starting small can help you find real opportunities without risking too much.
