If I notice missing funds from my account, I would face of all notify that my bank. They must trace how the money is missing and what it was deducted for. If I am not able to retrieve my missing funds, I do a petition to the CBN regarding that x and it would be resolved immediately.

In 2025, the cheapest POS machine you can get without stress is from Moniepoint. They’re still offering it for around ₦21,500 with easy onboarding and low daily targets. The thing I like about them is that once you meet the transaction requirement, you don’t get charged hidden fees like some other platforms.

If you’re just starting out, Opay is also a strong option. You can get their mini POS for between ₦15,000 to ₦20,000 depending on your agent. But the full Android type costs more. Some people say Palmpay gives out free POS—yes, but only if you’re hitting serious targets monthly. If you don’t, they’ll collect it back or fine you.

From experience, I’d say don’t chase the cheapest blindly. Look at how fast it works, how easy it is to get support, and how much they’ll deduct per transaction. Cheap POS with bad support can frustrate your customers and kill your street credibility.

If you’re serious about the business, go for one with low charges and stable uptime. It’s better to invest once than replace POS every few months.

A good budget starts with knowing exactly how much money you have and what you spend it on. Write down your income and all your expenses, then find areas where you can cut back without feeling too restricted. Set a saving goal that feels doable, not impossible. Use apps or reminders to help you stay on track, and review your budget regularly to make changes as your needs or goals change. The trick is to make it simple and flexible so you can stick with it long-term.

Answered by: Grace_Medina (Real user experience tone)

I know how frustrating it is when your Opay account suddenly gets blocked. My cousin in Warri faced this last year. His was due to password errors and an old SIM swap. But he fixed it in two days after doing these steps:

    1. Open the Opay app, go to Me > Support > Customer Service, and explain what happened. Attach a screenshot of the error.

    2. Or just call their hotline: 0700 888 8328. You can also message them on WhatsApp. Provide your full name, Opay phone number, and the BVN you used.

    3. If they ask for ID, upload your NIN slip or any valid ID to confirm you’re the real owner.

    4. Monitor your phone and email—support usually replies within 48 hours.

If your account was flagged due to suspected fraud or wrong transfers, don’t rush to open a new one. Opay links accounts via BVN, so trying to outsmart the system might block you permanently.

Plenty people don’t know say support dey respond faster if you give them all the info upfront. So no dull—just follow the process sharp-sharp.

In 2026, PayPal still doesn’t fully support direct withdrawal to Nigerian bank accounts for many users. So Nigerians mainly withdraw PayPal money using trusted third-party platforms.

Below are the best working methods that people actually use.

    1. Withdraw PayPal Funds Using Paga (Best for Nigerians)

Paga remains one of the most reliable ways to withdraw PayPal money in Nigeria because you can link your PayPal to your Paga account and transfer funds into your Paga wallet.

    How it works

    • You connect your PayPal inside the Paga app
    • Withdraw your PayPal balance into your Paga Naira wallet
    • Then transfer to your bank account

    Steps

    1. Download and register on Paga
    2. Complete verification (KYC)
    3. Go to PayPal Linking / PayPal Withdrawal
    4. Link your PayPal account
    5. Withdraw from PayPal to Paga wallet
    6. Transfer from Paga to your Nigerian bank

A friend of mine that does freelance writing receives payments through PayPal monthly. Instead of using exchangers, he withdraws straight into Paga and sends it to his Access Bank account the same day.

    Caution

    • Paga may charge fees depending on the amount
    • Sometimes withdrawals may take hours or up to 24 hours during verification checks
    • Always use the same PayPal name as your Paga details to avoid account issues

When you’re thinking about getting a personal loan, make sure you really know what interest rate you’re looking at, how much you have to pay back overall, and what the loan terms are all about. Look out for any sneaky fees, like processing costs or fines if you’re late with payments. It’s key to pick a monthly payment that won’t stretch your budget too thin and cause you unnecessary stress. Take a look at what different lenders are offering to snag the best deal. And don’t forget, you could also explore other options like saving up some cash first or borrowing from places with safer and cheaper rates. By taking your time to weigh all these things up, you’ll steer clear of debt troubles and handle your money matters responsibly.

Incessant bank charges on Nigerian bank accounts have become a common frustration because many customers don’t clearly understand what each fee represents or why it keeps appearing. Banks charge for things like SMS alerts, card maintenance, transfer fees, stamp duty, and sometimes hidden administrative costs. Over time, these small deductions add up and reduce your savings. The problem feels worse during periods of high inflation because every naira matters. Some banks also apply charges even when customers don’t actively use certain services. To manage this, Nigerians should review their monthly statements, disable unnecessary services, switch to email alerts instead of SMS, and choose banks or fintechs with lower fees. Understanding the charges and monitoring your transactions helps prevent surprises and protects your money from being eaten up by avoidable deductions.
