I always believe that there are two factors that can make any business to have loyal customers and retain new ones. These are: Quality Products and Quality Customer Service.

Customers pay for goods with their hard earned money and would feel cheated of they feel the quality of products on offer they bought is not worth the value they parted with for that product. They would not patronize that business again.

Customers are also more likely to be loyal to a business that offers good customer service by communicating with them constantly and answering their queries.

If you have passion for clothes, you can see how to start making clothes and offering them for sale. If you have a singing talent, you need to see how you can monetize that voice to earn from it.

To be a successful self employed, you must be a continuous learner to help boost your skills and talents to earn even more.

Another factor is that you must have a favorable disposition to attend to customers. It is very important and sensitive in this kind of business.

Another tip that can help you succeed with grocery business is punctuality. You have to open your shop early to catch up with early work and school goers that might have one need or another.

For business crisis that has to do with staff clashes, you would to first of all maintain a calm disposition to be able to address it adequately. You must demonstrate and practically show fairness and impartiality in resolving crisis.

Let both parties exhaust their full explanations and defer resolutions on it. Liaise with an experienced person to get insights and address the clashing parties. Point out the wrongs of  both parties and apply mild compromise among the two after which you broker q reconciliation between them.

Basically, you might just seek to know the marital status of your employee, their religious affiliation etc at the very surface but don’t enquire to know too deep.

In fact, you only enquire private details that could be relevant to the person’s discharge of his or her duties in your organization. Anything beyond that is invasion of privacy.

You must be experienced enough to know beyond the basics and you should understand the key technical aspects in the business. If you are shallow in experience, you might get overwhelmed when the big challenges about the business comes up thick and fast.

That implies that one needs to spend considerable time with a master who is also in that business to gain sufficient experience. For my kind of business, I used 3 months to work for someone in that field and get valuable experience.

People appreciate and patronize a product or service for it’s uniqueness and not it’s similarities. For example, I have a barber that is very good with carving but average in other aspects of hair barbing. People who are particular about the carvings on their hair troop in to have their haircut from him.

I would limit my answer to this question strictly to personality because it has a bigger effect than any other factor. If you are a loner naturally and find it difficult being part of a team, please stick to sole proprietorship and leave partnership business alone because your partner might be a strain on your mental health.

If you are a social person, then you can effectively run a partnership successfully. It is better that one assesses himself before choosing between partnership and sole proprietorship.

Graphics design has a very wide market that one can even decide to focus on a niche target market. The biggest market for graphics design are churches now. They are always in constant demands almost on a weekly basis to promote their events and programs online and offline. If you can target and have two to three trending churches as constant clients, that is a huge market.

The next target market is schools. They need graphics to advertise and the demand is high. We also have music artists that need graphics for cover arts and then businesses that need graphics for adverts, logo and stickers.
