These days being a photographer is not easy. As at last year i was working as a photo editor for a small company and i had the opportunity to come across and as well work with lots of photographers. During this period I heard a lot of things. There are some set of photographers who are still earning it big till date even with the introduction of smartphones and the likes, then there are some who are seriously struggling. The photographers who have been able to make big names for themselves are still doing well as they have big clients who are celebrities and top figures in the society today. For a single event they can charge hundred of dollars or in my case naira. The ones actually having it tough are the upcoming photographers and the ones who might be old in the system but are not big shots. Most clients tend to argue that their iphones can capture a better and sharper shots than photographers using a good camera like canon or the likes but the truth of the matter that photographers would also have more experience when it comes to editing, positioning and photo manipulation. So yes photographers still make money and it is a very beautiful skill to learn especially if you are outside Nigeria but it takes time to get to the level you want to be in and the journey is never easy.

Besides the fact that buying another business has to do with if it fits your goals and objectives, i believe a business owner and entrepreneur should only buy another business when they have been able to grow their current business to the point where it can stand on its own. Trying to grow two business together would be too stressful and if care is not taken you might end up loosing both businesses. Grow one to a reasonable height first then you can have enough time, experience and resources to grow the next.

While this cannot be avoided, it is becoming very hard to find capable workers, this is because people today are not willing to work hard to earn or eat, they simply want to do what they like as long as it is not their personal business and get paid. This is one reason why most business owners do not let others handle their business but in the end this action ends up limiting them.
