I know of a business owner who hire young kids who came to learn work. His logic is that since they are young and learning he would use them to work without having to pay them, then when the time comes to pay them, he can pay them little. He has many of them but the business is not moving forward. Having one or two quality workers who are experienced and skilled is way better than having five or six workers that are not experienced.

When it comes to the fee at which logo designs should be charged it mainly depends on the designer and his or her Worth. Its so painful how most graphic designers have completely spoiled this occupation. I am a graphic designer and speaking from experience, i have come across so my clients that when i charge them, their response would be they have a designer that would do it for them at the rate of 2,000 naira or even 1,500 naira. Imagine one had the mind to ask for a flyer design at the rate of one thousand naira. I refused but to my surprised she found someone who did it for her. A logo design from scratch should be charged from around 10,000 naira upwards. People tend to mistake logo for mockup logo. Over here most designers tend to charge 3k for a logo design cause they fear their customers would go someone else. All in all it depends on you the designer cause at the moment it seems majority of the graphic designers we have do not care about doing a job the actual price.
